At SM Electric Vehicle Charging, we are proud to have carried out many prestigious projects across the country. We enjoy nothing more than working alongside other trades contractors and design teams to provide top class installations.

Below is a small portfolio of projects that we have successfully delivered in recent years.

Mercedes-Benz - EV chargepoint installations

We were successfully appointed in the summer of 2019 to work alongside Mercedes-Benz to deliver a full turnkey Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure at various sites across the north east of England.

For these projects, SM Electric Vehicle Charging provided both the required Electrical Installation works and also the roads civils works package.

These projects included the installation of new EV distribution infrastructure on site to allow for 3x 22kW rapid charge points per site, with the future provision to additional units.

Works carried out included...


  • Excavation of road surfaces for installation of cable ducting systems

  • Forming of required concrete base plinths at charge point positions

  • Reinstatement of all road surfaces and parking bay markings

  • Installation of new EV charging dedicated distribution boards

  • Cabling to and installation of 22Kw smart charge units

  • Full commissioning of smart charge features
